The free basement made this house (from what I have seen so far I am about to attach the chimney) to be a very good deal. The quality is every bit as good as Real Good Toys and I have built both the Queen Anne II and Twelve Oaks. I am loving every minute.

The house came damaged in certain areas and the stairs had separated and had to be glued together. We couldn't return it as we had opened all boxes. We did the repairs our selves. The Dolls House Emporium was asked to create a wonderfully luxurious version of our flagship house, Grosvenor Hall. This prestigious top-of-the-range model now takes pride of place in the new Toy Kingdom at world-famous department store, Harrods, in London. Here is product design manager Sophie with her guide to how we created this masterpiece.

The Dolls House Emporium was asked to create a top-of-the-range version of our flagship house, Grosvenor Hall for Harrods of London.

This video shares a little of the magic, as product manager Sophie shows how she furnished the music room and sitting room in the display house.

But you needn’t spend half a day watching the work unfold… we’ve speeded up the video so the rooms evolve their character in a flash!



Harrods Grosvenor Hall - a tour of the interior

The Dolls House Emporium was asked to create a top-of-the-range version of our flagship house, Grosvenor Hall for London's famous department store, Harrods. Today we can see the finished rooms inside the house, which is worth some £7,000 if you add up the house itself, the decoration and the furniture, accessories and lighting inside. Dolls House Emporium product manager Sophie takes us on a tour through the dining room, the first floor library – on a Dickensian theme with the man himself settled inside reading his newspaper – and a bedroom kitted out with items from the beautiful Queen’s Dolls’ House Collection. She takes us right up into the attic rooms to see hopw different bedrooms look for different people in a house like this!


Harrods Grosvenor Hall - video guide to the basement

At The Dolls House Emporium we have been building a rather special house – it’s a Grosvenor Hall, especially designed as a centrepiece in Harrods' new Toy Kingdom. Its rooms are now built, decorated and dressed and we have moved on to the basement, which needed just a little work before the whole piece – worth some £8,000 complete – is sent down to the famous London store. Featured in this video are the busy working kitchen, always below stairs in a grand house like this! There is also a laundry, featuring new maid Agnes, and a busy hallway, which also serves as an additional room.

Green Hippo used their laser ‘projection mapping’ system to bring Grosvenor Hall to life in movement and colour.
